For the Bride’s Bouquet, we did a mix of mostly whites with accents of blue. The flowers included white freesia, French tulips, hydrangea and callas with blue hydrangea and delphinium accents. The girls had nosegay-sized bouquets of blue hydrangea, delphinium and white tulips. They looked great with the simple black dresses! The guys all got tulip bouts with blue accents-sleek and simple. The flower girls carried blue hydrangea pomanders and beamed with cuteness!
Ceremony flowers included to altarpieces that had a mixture of whites and blues including Agapanthus, which looks like a big blue firework. Love them! The reception was held at Danada House, which is a huge mansion in Wheaton. It was decked to the nines with floral centerpieces, accent arrangements, votive candles and fabulous black and white linens. Blue sheers draped the doorway into the atrium and also hung behind the head table. There were 2 styles of centerpieces; 8 tall, full & showy ones and 14 short and full ones. I love the mix of heights and textures…they worked so well in the space. The head table and cupcake table were accented with votive candles and blue faux petals. The head table also had vases for the bouquets–adding the bouquets to the head table keeps them fresh longer and adds color and a floral element to the table…I suggest this to all of my brides…and all of them wisely agree to do it! My favorite part of the reception decor hands down were huge manzanita branch arrangements which where decked out with hanging votives, crystals and orchids and sat inside an urn vase that contained hydrangea, delphinium, orchids, ivy, eucalyptus, and tulips. I hope to do many more arrangements of this type in the future!
I loved working with Missy and Dan and wish them a lifetime of happiness together!
Here are more photos of their fabulous wedding decor…(*my assistant Amy Christian is on vacation–so these are my amateur photography skills…not her awesome skills!)
