My name is Kristen (Henschen) Janes and I am the proud owner of Kio Kreations, LLC <a creative services company>. We specialize in Floral and Graphic Design with a focus on the wedding industry. Flowers and Art are my 2 passions, and luckily for me, sometimes they can be one in the same, particularly when talking about weddings!
I work mainly out of my home in the western Chicago suburbs and provide floral services locally (Chicago + Burbs) and my design services Nationally (anywhere the world wide web can take me). My professional ART background includes a Bachelor of Fine Art in Illustration, 5+ years of product and graphic design experience in a corporate environment, over 12 years of general professional art experience including the creation of murals, portraits, comic strips, company logos, new product designs, and other fun stuff. My professional FLORAL career goes back to 1996, when I began my first job at a floral shop in Gurnee, IL at the age of 14. My mother was a florist for years, so she taught me floral design when I was 8, so when it came time to get my first job, working at the florist down the street from my high school seemed like the perfect fit. Over 12 years and 3 floral shops later, I’ve been finding success doing floral design independently since 2004, so much so that I virtually double my client base annually with little to no advertising! Let’s just say, I am very grateful to have a lot of happy, AND VOCAL former/current clients!
